Double Mattresses

A double mattress is one of the most popular choices for couples and individual sleepers who want plenty of room to relax. It offers a generous sleeping surface while fitting comfortably into many standard bedrooms.

Our collection includes double mattresses in different constructions and comfort levels, so you can choose an option that works with your bed frame and personal sleeping preferences.

A standard UK double mattress measures approximately 135cm wide by 190cm long. Checking the measurements of your existing bed frame before ordering is important, as the exact dimensions can vary between products.

If you're buying a new bed and mattress together, make sure both are listed as double size and check the manufacturer's specifications for compatibility.

The right mattress depends on more than size. Think about how you sleep and the level of firmness you find most comfortable.

A firmer mattress can provide a more supportive feel, while other constructions may offer a softer or more cushioned sleeping surface. Look at the individual product specifications to understand the materials and construction before choosing.

A double memory foam mattress can be a popular choice for sleepers who prefer a cushioned, body-contouring feel. Memory foam is designed to respond to pressure, creating a close-fitting sleeping surface.

If you're considering a double memory foam mattress, compare the construction and specifications of each option rather than choosing based on material alone. The firmness, depth and other layers can all affect the overall feel.

A double bed and mattress can provide a comfortable sleeping space for couples while also being a practical choice for a larger guest bedroom.

When furnishing a guest room, a double mattress can give visitors plenty of sleeping space while still leaving room for bedside tables, wardrobes and other useful furniture.
